I booked a consultation with Millennia Visa Specialists because their Google listing identifies them as an “immigration attorney,” which reasonably suggests licensed legal services. Only after the consultation did I learn the consultant is not a lawyer but a visa consultant… by which point I had already completed the consultation and paid the KES 5,000 fee. Nothing was explicitly misrepresented verbally, but the business categorisation creates a misleading expectation for clients seeking legal immigration advice, especially for complex U.S. visa matters. I would simply have chosen a different service had the professional qualifications been clear before booking and payment. Greater transparency about qualifications would help clients make informed decisions upfront.
